Good Ole tastes of Chicago, this place delivers. Beef with sports was good and came dipped, juicy and delicious. The Tamale boat was different and pretty good with the chili topping. Very very friendly staff made the experience excellent, thank you so much

Our first night in San Antonio, we checked into the hotel, rested for a little bit, and then…..boop…..out to eat we went because that’s what we do 😂. My husband found this spot, and being from Chicago, I was immediately interested. I grew up on thin crust pizza, cut in squares, with Italian sausage and jalapeños. That is my kind of pizza, period. So of course that’s what we ordered, except we added pepperoni too. And listen…..it did what it needed to do. The pizza was thin, cheesy, flavorful, and cut the right way…..in squares. We got a small, I believe around 12 inches, and it was perfect for us. I also had to get a Chicago dog because…..hello…..CHICAGO. 😂 Fresh ingredients, poppy seed bun, all the proper toppings, and the Vienna Beef dog was right on point. My husband also ordered a pizza puff because somehow this man claims he doesn’t remember eating pizza puffs back in the day. Sir…..we definitely used to get those for you 😂. The only thing missing was some good Chicago mild sauce. Had that been there, whew…..complete throwback. But honestly, the experience was bigger than just the food for me. The decor is ALL Chicago. Hands-down, the best hotdog that I’ve had in years. It’s consistent. It’s good at great environment. Can’t ask for more. If you want good food, a great environment that a place to watch the Cubs come here!!!

This was our first time to visit so we went with an original chili & cheese dog to the fan favorite famous Italian beef. Add a kids grilled cheese, spicy fried pickles, and jalapeño fries. My husband loved it all. The spiciness, packed with flavor, etc. I’m particular on chili so I’d say it’s not what a Texan is used to, but still homemade & fresh. The fried pickles were hands down the best I’ve ever had. My daughter enjoyed her kids size portion of a grilled cheese. Cooked to perfection with quality cheese. We’ll be back to try a Greek side of the menu next. Staff were super friendly and felt like family. Inside is kept very clean.

The food is consistently excellent and fairly priced. The owner is actively involved in daily operations, and that hands on leadership clearly drives the overall experience. This is a family owned establishment, not a corporate chain, and the pride of ownership is evident in every detail. The staff presents themselves professionally, courteous, attentive, and well groomed. Despite a smaller parking lot, the exterior is maintained properly. Inside, the dining area, restrooms, and beverage station are all kept clean,stocked and organized. Service is efficient without compromising food quality, which reflects strong operational discipline. One note for first time visitors, if you’re offered hot peppers, understand that they are genuinely spicy. They bring serious heat! You have been warned lol.
